Welcoming a new life into the world is one of the most precious moments you’ll ever experience. Capturing those early days with your newborn is not just about taking pictures but preserving memories that last a lifetime. Here’s what you can expect when you book a newborn photography session with me:
Pre-Session Consultation
Before your session, we’ll schedule a consultation to discuss your vision and preferences. We’ll also go over what to expect during the session and answer any questions you might have.
A Relaxing Studio Environment
My, in-home studio is designed to provide a cozy and safe environment for your newborn. You’ll enjoy soft lighting in a room adorned with white walls and linens. My adjacent, sitting room is stocked with snacks and drinks and includes toys to entertain older siblings.
Session Preparation
I’m here to guide you through every step of your session process. All sessions receive a styling and information guide to help you choose your wardrobe and be fully prepared for your session.
All inclusive sessions, also, receive extra support, such as, shopping for you online, making your hair and makeup appointments and providing you with style boards so you have a visual of what your outfits will look like together.
Professional Styling and Props
I provide a large collection of blankets and wraps, a Moses basket, twin bed with white linens, dainty headbands for girls, and a selection of diaper covers and simple outfits for baby. You won’t need to bring anything unless you have a sentimental item you’d like included in the photos.
Along with items for baby mom’s may borrow dresses from my client closet during your session. Shirts are provided for young boys and dad’s and a selection of dresses and ropers are provided for young girls.
Safety
Your baby’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. With years of experience in newborn photography and personal experience raising 3 girls, I know how to handle your little one with care and patience. Along with not handling baby any more than necessary you’ll find me sanitizing my hands often and wearing a mask to ensure added protection for baby’s health.
Who is included
Immediate family and hypoallergenic pets are included in your session. 1 helper is allowed to join you during your session to provide assistance with baby and older sibling(s). Your helper will be required to sign a liability release. They may be included in some photos for an added fee of $50.
Session Duration
Newborn sessions typically last around 2 hours with an extra hour available to allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks. I work on your baby’s schedule, ensuring a stress-free experience for everyone involved.
Post-Session Editing
Once you session is complete, I will select the best images from which you may choose your favorites for me to professionally edit to enhance their beauty. My editing process takes 2 weeks or less after your images have been chosen and ensures your photos are timeless, natural, and flawless. All, chosen images, will be delivered in color and black and white.
Editing includes, hair, skin and background touch-ups to remove non-permanent blemishes, stray hairs/flyaways, and background distractions. All images are edited in a way to enhance the natural beauty of your baby and family.
Gallery Viewing and Product Options
After editing, you’ll receive an online link to view and download your gallery of images. All images are included in black and white and color.
From there, you may choose to print beautiful, archival prints and product from your gallery or print on your own. Whether it’s an heirloom album or wall art I will help you preserve your memories in a way that suits your style.
