Start planning your wardrobe when you make your session appointment. You don’t want to be scrambling to do that last minute.
Make hair and makeup appointments as soon as possible. I love Glow.
Clear your schedule for session day or at least a few hours before your session. Rushing around will just add stress.
Session Day
Expect your full session to last 45minutes to 1 hour.. Mini sessions are 20-25 minutes in length.
I encourage all families to arrive 15-20 minutes before the start of your session.
Feed everyone before your sessions. Full bellies make for happy kids.
After your Session
Your session gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks of your session date. If you did not book an all-inclusive session you will receive a proof gallery. Once you have chosen your images final edits (hair, skin and background touchups) will be made and your final gallery will be available within 2 weeks of choosing your images.
All final images are delivered fully re-touched and in black and white and color.
After receiving your gallery you may choose to order prints and products from me or print on your own
Choose 2-4 colors that coordinate well together and with your chosen location. Think warm whites and tans for Fall along with muted versions of your favorite, Fall colors
All full sessions, with me, have access to wardrobe for use during your sessions. Women’s wardrobe can be found here. Try on appointments can be made to try on dresses. Those appointments should be made at least a month before your session so you have time to order something if you don’t find something you like.

What to Bring – 5 essential items
Comfy shoes and an all terrain stroller as we often do a bit of walking
Makeup, mirror and hair stuff for touchups
Wipes
Snacks and water (just in case.) Things that are quick and easy to eat like applesauce/yogurt pouches and cheese sticks. Dry snacks tend to take longer to eat and usually get in their teeth.
Blankets, special toys or other items you want or don’t mind being in photos
How to Prepare: Hair and Skin
Moisturize well – This includes face, lips, and hands. If you’re thinking the camera won’t see it….think again.
Pluck stray brow hairs – My camera will see them in close ups
Don’t skip makeup. Wear a little more than you normally would for a natural look. A little blush and lip color are especially important.
Manicure those fingers. Hands are, often, visible.
Don’t forget to clean noses and ears.
Humidity spray or fly-away cream will help keep those fly-aways down.
Secure long hair so it doesn’t hang in faces
