Lifestyle, studio newborn photography creates a homelike environment where we can focus on natural poses and interactions in a setting that provides a light, cozy feel with great lighting.
Unlike studio setups that need lots of gear, natural light, lifestyle sessions in studio need just a few things:
When you book a Natural Light, Studio Newborn Photography session with me you’ll get photos that feel both artistic and real. The light and natural posing brings out the true essence of your new baby in those first precious weeks.
Natural light creates soft, gentle photos that show your baby’s true beauty. Lifestyle photography focuses on the natural beauty of your baby and family.
Baby led posing simply means I will follow the baby’s cues as to what is comfortable for them. Since my studio sessions are lifestyle in nature babies are not forced into positions they could not get into themselves. They are allowed to stretch and move as much as they like.
Lifestyle newborn photography doesn’t require the use of fancy props. I use a bed, moses basket and parents/siblings as props to create true-to-life images that are comfortable and beautiful. Don’t worry, I will direct you on how to pose to look your best while maintaining a natural look.
If you love light and bright images with a relaxed approach and don’t feel your home offers the look or bountiful light, a studio session with me is great for you.
My studio offers white walls, light colored linens and beautiful lighting.
How long do lifestyle, studio newborn sessions typically last?
Most studio newborn sessions run 1.5-2 hours. This gives us time for feedings, diaper changes, and soothing your baby between poses. The gentle pace keeps stress low for everyone.
What is provided?
I create timeless photos of your baby in a cozy space that feels like home. Parents often tell me they feel at home in my studio. I keep the room warm and cozy, with soft blankets and simple props that won’t distract from your baby’s beauty.
“Laura made us feel so comfortable. The photos look like they belong in a magazine, but the session felt like hanging out with a friend.” — Jessica M.
