A lifestyle newborn session in Birmingham can take place in various locations. I love that outdoor, newborn sessions provide you with something a little different than most people would choose. Lifestyle newborn session in your home are a great way to preserve memories of the place baby first lived. My in-home studio is a great option for lovers of all white photography or feel you don’t have appropriate lighting in your home.
This is the third time I have had the pleasure of photographing the Williams family. Just before I photographed their newborn session I met them for their maternity session. You can see they’re always ready to have a good time and connect with each other for fun and meaningful images.
When should you schedule your lifestyle newborn session?
The Williams’ chose to wait until baby brother was 3 weeks old for their lifestyle newborn session in Birmingham. Typically 3 week old’s won’t sleep as much as younger newborns and will often give you lots of smiles. This sweet baby, boy gave me both.
Lifestyle newborn sessions can take place at any time. I suggest aiming for the 2 week mark for moms that didn’t need a cesarean section. At 2 weeks babies are often getting on a schedule and mom has had time to heal. For moms that have had cesarean sections I suggest waiting until baby is 3 weeks or older.
Big brother took a little convincing to snuggle with his new brother but he finally decided to show how much he loves the newest member of his family. Little brother was very tolerant of all the kisses and hugs big brother showered him with.
I always spend time photographing mom and dad with baby individually and together during lifestyle newborn sessions in Birmingham. Sessions can take place in any room in your home. Two of the most common places to photograph are in the parents bedroom and in the nursery.
