People hear “twins” and picture a session that’s twice as chaotic. It isn’t, really. It’s a little longer, and slower, but I plan for that from the start.
If you have or are expecting twins and looking for a baby photographer in Birmingham, here’s how a session with me goes.

Why a white studio
I keep it simple on purpose. White walls, soft light, light blankets and wardrobe choices keep the session natural and timeless. It also means the photos won’t look dated. You’ll want to hang them in twenty years, and a trendy prop or outfit is the first thing to look old.

When to book your sitter session
The best window is usually the first two weeks. Babies that new are sleepy and curl up easily, and they stay asleep through a lot. Twins often arrive early, though, so I’d rather you book while you’re still pregnant. We pick a loose date around your due date and then go off the actual birth. You don’t need to plan anything else until they’re here.
How long it takes
Give it about 1 hour. The pace is set by the babies. We will take breaks as needed.

What we’ll photograph
Both babies together, each baby on their own, and parents with the babies if you desire. If you have older kids, we’ll get them in too. Some of the best frames end up being small ones: a hand on a tiny back, two sets of feet side by side.
Safety, since you’ll wonder
Every pose is done with safety in mind.
What to bring
That’s it. The wraps and backdrops are mine.
