Motherhood photography is essentially family photography that focuses on the stages and bonds of motherhood. Motherhood photography generally starts with a maternity photo session and continues as long as you want to capture your bond with your babies. Most motherhood sessions include Dad, as well.
The Importance of Motherhood photography for future generations
As a new mom I didn’t understand the importance of capturing all of the tiny moments I would, eventually, realize I wanted to remember forever and show my babies as they grew. The way I carried them during pregnancy, how tiny their hands and feet were in my hands, how they looked at me with all the love in the world and how they clung to me for protection and comfort.
A well-preserved photograph, also, becomes a family heirloom to tell the stories of those who came before us.
What do you photograph during a Motherhood Session?
To create heirloom-worthy photos, I focus on capturing genuine interactions through laughter, quiet moments and even some tears.
